Suzuki releases V-Strom 650
Suzuki has unveiled its latest offering to the burgeoining dual-purpose
market - the middleweight V-Strom 650.

The machine, a sibling to the original V-Strom 1000, is powered by a
liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 90-degree, V-twin engine - that is, a tweaked
version of the powerplant found in Suzuki's popular SV650 road bike.

The V-Strom features a three-position manually adjustable windscreen, 820mm
seat height, 22lt tank, 189kg dry weight, and dial-operated remote preload
adjuster on the rear suspension.

The V-Strom 650 - or more formally the DL650 - is available in Pearl Blue,
and comes standard with a two-year unlimited kilometre warranty at an
introductory retail price of $9990 (plus ORC).

Got rave reviews internationally, can't wait for a testride.
SV650 engine, 4hp down and tuned for more grunt.
Still pulls to just under 200, and great pillion accomodation.
Same good head- lights, rear shock and brakes as the 1000.
At that price it's a STEAL.
For all those who're too cramped on the SV.

Cheers
pete
