I think it might increase the interest factor as well as the grid... We all
know that when someone (mostly Casey) gets well out in front, it's race
over - for first place, at least. The Valencia battle for second was far
more interesting than anything else - until Spies got in front of Casey and
took it right to the line. Phew!
So I reckon that maybe the CRT concept will revitalise motoGP (and good luck
to Ant for scoring a spot!) It may well seem that there are two races being
run simultaneously, which will be.... interesting? confusing? but at least
there will be a decent number of starters on the grid!
I have what may be a dumb question, btw. Randy de Puniet was quoted as
saying he would definitely not sign with a CRT team. I'm struggling to
understand this. Seems he was keen to ride for Suzuki, then they pulled
out - and the last time I checked, Randy looked likely to go to WSBK rather
than take a CRT ride. He was pretty much like "I'll do anything except
that!" I'd like to understand why - the prejudice against CRT - can anyone
help?
