Does anyone know if there's some decent motorbike parking near to a
venue called the "Rescue Rooms" in Nottingham?

They're just round the side of Rock City, it's up an alley kind of thing.
It's just about feasable you might be able to park outside it. But if
you're going for a gig you might find them much less tolerant and your
bike might get fallen over.
When I played there it seemed a pretty friendly place, drop em a call.
I've not been in Nottingham for several years though, so I can't comment
on the on street options. Have you tried the tourist info people for
advice on parking?
Take a big FOAD lock, the city is a bit crap for bike crime.

It's just down the road from Rock City which has a 24 hour NCP car
park near enough opposite it, next to the Royal Moat House Hotel on
Wollaton Street.

Who you going to see?

Oh, right... ISTR that driving to Rock City was a royal PITA last time I
tried it (went round in circles for ages, drove through a red light as I
always seem to do in Nottingham, missed two-thirds of the gig).

Ta, I might do that.

Not yet... I was going to check the council's website first, there's
usually parking-related info to be found.

Aye, I was planning on do that.

Ah, that might work. NCP are usually fairly bike-friendly, aren't they?

I'm working just round the corner and there's nowhere free I'd
consider leaving a half decent bike round here. I do know there's a
free bike parking area alongside the victoria centre or was, but I'd
not use it.

"Free" wasn't one of the criteria; I'm happy to pay a reasonable amount,
if it's convenient and secure.

According to this:
http://www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/cdpscitycentre.pdf
there's a car park on Talbot Street, just around the corner from the RR
and it's marked with a "secure car park award scheme" icon.

I think when I hear motorbike parking I tend to think of london style
bike bays.
