Hi

I would like to know what riders think is the best AUS motorcycle
magazine for roadbike reports, racing info etc. As I would like to
subscribe to one soon.

Personally, I'm a big fan of Tee Dub (Two Wheels). AMCN's not bad either.
Australian Performance Streetbike is good too, but it's more about custom
modified bikes (Turbo Hire-busses, etc.)

Sidetrack.

Oh road bikes ... I would not subscribe to any of 'em. Not consistently
good enough with topics that intrest me.

I like Sidetrack too - an entertaining if slightly loopy magazine.

I think AMCN (Australian Motorcycle News) is probably the one most relevant
for the original postee.

For me it would have to be Two Wheels
From next issue they are also expanding to incorporate what used to be
Performance Streetbike.
(Dont quote me on this, they are incorporating some performance streetbike
section, havent got this months issue at work to check).
Excellent read for my money.
Get a two year subscription for $125.00
Buy one of each from the newsagent and see which you like best.
Cheers

I think they all suck for road tests. With such small circulations they have
to be SUPER careful what they say about bikes or they find they are without
test bikes any more, and they don't have the circulation clout to throw
their weight about with importers and distributors. So you have to read very
carefully between the lines if you want to have any idea of a bike's
deficencies.

When the fairing falls off a bike (no names:-), TW will say that the fairing
vibrated quite a lot, that this is part of the bike's character and anyway
it probably doesn't happen on all of them. When fuel injection surging makes
a bike unrideable at constant throttle they'll say something like "commuting
on this bike takes committment, but of course that's not what this bike is
all about" or words to that effect.

So you have to learn their code phrases for "this is ****" then the reviews
start to have some value.

I like TW and AMCN for various other articles, but for reviews I think you
need to look elsewhere.
