Old pain. New pain. I never thought I would find myself doing this again
but I guess road salt will have its wicked way.

It you don't know what I've been doing from the pictures you are too young
to be amused.

http://www.photobox.co.uk/album/377278041

These wing nuts have become downright feckin expensive, like 20+ each
expensive. And in the end I discover the 2:1 headers won't fit unless I
remove the oil cooler. AFAIK fitting a standard oil filter cover plate
would achive it but I've never tried??

I don't know whether to persevere or just get stainless headers. The OE's
are rotted and the rest is all Kehin. It looks pretty good without a
silencer on the left and it would make rear wheel removal a breeze. Though
mating up a nice 38mm reverse cone Meg might require some pipe bending.

What a good idea!

I've tried SS MIG welding at home (in Argon) - can weld it, but the
welds aren't rust-free. A TIG specialist would do in seconds what takes
me ages of messing about (for a mediocre result).

You can get stainless wire, you know. I've MIG welded the collector
box on one bike and there's no sign of corrosion after a couple of
years of all-weather use..

Oh heck, do you mean I shouldn't have been using string?

Lucky you. My last SS welds, although they looked fine to start off
with, have rusted. I don't know why. I have some more to do soon (the
R80's LH silencer) so I'll have another go and see what happens.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember SpamTrapSeeSig

I came across mention of this recently - there's a grade of SS wire that
rusts when welded with - clever, eh?

Even worse (from when I was doing magnetic spectroscopy work) some
grades of SS become magnetic when welded.

Reggie Bush - Think Leon Washington except in Reggie Bush-style
LaDainain - Retirement
Darren Sproles - Starter for next season
Maroney - I HOPE HE'S A BACKUP. I love Fred Taylor, he's one of the dying breed of franchise runningbacks, rbs who can still make a mark on the NFL like 10 years later. You think AP will be playing at 32? guess again
Slaton - One year wonder
LenDale White - 3rd down rb,
Forte - will comeback and be better next year, sophomore slump
Cowboy RB - just the fact that you dont know his name should tell you enough
Westbrook - Retirement
McFadden - Hopefully will start. Needs a good offensive line, if the raiders can pick someone up in the draft then he will have his best year... But its Al Davis...
