I have a BMW K75s.

Another UKRM slut bike.

It has long MOT (Aug 11), Tax (Feb 11), BMW hard luggage (pictured),
Corbin seat, US import (now Anglicised) and it's black.

Not the greatest picture:

Reliable and starts well in the cold:

An excellent winter hack, how much is it worth and when I get some better
pics is anyone interested?

Mileage? A decent K75S with luggage is always worth £800. With that
luggage and the Corbin seat and (say) mileage under 45k, as much as a
grand. Mileage under 25k: £11100-1200.

Assuming it's as clean as it looks (pix tend to flatter bikes).

According to the service records its mileage is 52K - (it had a speedo
change) - I have stacks of receipts for it.

It's not a dog and will scrub up well - that picture was taken after I'd
picked it up from Statto and it hadn't been cleaned or polished but
wasn't filthy. It's also a phone camera.

One of the sidepanels is a bit loose but that can be sorted - also one of
the luggage to bike latches is broken (it fell over at the Elefant) but
frame and case are intact.

I was going to put it on eBay 99p start, N/R and a shed load of decent
pictures.

Bad idea - good bikes are going for **** all at the moment. Either start
it at the least you will accept or give it a reserve.
There seems to be a seasonal shortage of bidders plus a recession..
The YP250, for example, was a steal at 495.

Shame it's not an RT as I'd like another one of those in the stable.

I tried to persuade Frag that it'd be the ideal winter commuter for
him but he muttered about footrests and that was it. I couldn't be
bothered telling him they're not the same as GS ones and are on alloy
mounting plates that can easily be repositioned.

If I was going to be commuting through the winter I'd have the K75
like a shot but I'm known for my poor taste in motorbikes.

That's what I'd do then sit back and hope. It's a tidy bike and should
go over £800 because it's got a long ticket on it and can either be
used as a cheap tourer or a winter hack.

Finally someone who recognises what these work-horses are worth :-)

I picked up a K75 with similar recorded mileage, luggage & lots of
service receipts from eBay this spring for £880, but with an R100RS
fairing that boosted bidding interest.

I wouldn't mind an old BMW myself.

Not necessarily. If you haven't sold your black-painted Honda 400 Four,
that's because your BIN of £1200 is putting people off.
