Am I right in thinking that a couple of blobs of nylon and a couple of bolts
cost $100? Rocker covers are cheaper than that :-)

Well yes... but some bikes have expensive bits under some covers... some
Suzuki's (like the bandits and earlier GSXR's) are well known for doing
cranks if they grind through covers and keep going only a little way.
