What a day, what a ****ing day.

Set off from Dundee at 9:30am after an early site meeting. The snow started
around 9am & it was ****ing epic. A9 closed, M74 closed, just about all
****ing roads closed.

I set off accross country on horrible ungritted ice & snow in me trusty
Passatt. Took hours to even get near Lockerbie after the big pile up i
avoided. Pulled out of the services getting up to speed & BANG something hit
the car & the windscreen was utterly wrecked.

I pulled over right quick & a bobby pulled in.

A wheel handle off a lorry trailer had hit the front of the car gouging the
roof too. I was covered in ****ing shards of glass, as is the inside of the
car. The inner plastic bit of the screen was holed, but pretty much held
out. If the thing hadnt hit the roof too, the bobby reckoned it could have
come right through. Right in front of me face

Well, there's a slight enlargement in the ringpiece & a very odd smell. I
wondered what the smell was, thinking i might really have shat me pants, but
that plastic stinks when it stretches, the stuff in the screen.....

Lucky escape mate.
On the bright side, if it had come through, not much chance of
damage...
