Busy Alberta Week!

All total, it was busy/busy. When I wasn't working I was going out and
seeing the sites and stuff.

I stopped by and saw a new Buell. After spying it from the drive, I
had to ride it. I looked at the cockpit and it read 220!!! ****!!!!
Then I realized I was in Canada. I popped on the bike and took it for
a short spin. Erik has sure done a good number on the new ones. The
bike handled really well, but was a bit too light on the front and
kept pitching up. It was like riding a nervous chihuahua with all the
twitching the bike did. I didn't get a chance to really curve it up
and tart the lean angles...Calgary is sorta flat and straight, and I
didn't know the area too well either.

When I got back to the dealer, we talked pricing and options. I don't
know what's going on in Canada, but the pricing sucks. I could've
bought a Buell in the 48 and took it to Canada saving about $3k after
all the taxes and such. I don't know what it would take to buy from
Canada for me, but they pay way too much.

Oh, and the gas prices REALLY suck!!!

But the week was fun and made me change my views of what I had of
Canada previously. I hear the Ontario's are the **** asses, and those
are the one's I've run into in the states.

Back for the airplane!

Bye
Brian

Well, at least it no longer has that dreaded potato-
potato sound.

I test rode a Buell when I was in Kansas City a year or so ago, and I don't
know if the bike was prepped poorly or what, but that was the worst machine
I have ever ridden. I could not wait to get it back to the dealer.

I bet one of those SUNL things would have been a better ride.

You might be right about that one, Jerry. I didn't get to ride this
one too much so I can't speak for it's comparison to a SUNL. The bike
was a bit too twitchy for my liking, but it didn't have the shake I
was expecting from a Harley-bourne motor.

Then again, an Aprilia is way smoother than this Buell was...and
that's not even to compare it to my I-4's.

I'll be local to Texas for the next month. There were a BUNCH of
motorcycles out this weekend. Let's drum up a ride and do a lunch run,
what'cha say?
