and for the sake of knowing, asked for a bike quote alone on the phone.

I prodded the website afterwards however, and get incredibly sensible
online figures... how the hell can they have someone on the phone with a
credit card in hand and quote batshit numbers that simply don't have
*any* relation to the ones that fall out of the web site?

I find that having a birth certificate written upon the finest vellum to
be useful during times like these.

If you think that's baffling, wait until you see the difference between
the renewal price & the cost of a new web quote.

My renewal notice: £134.10. Online quote: £109 for the same policy. ~18%
