$1500 at moment

V4 500cc GP Replica - Handbuilt in Japan
Levers, switchgear, instruments, exhausts, wheels, electricals, rear
suspension all in very good condition. Rear tyre ok, front is worn,

Engine starts well, has always been excellent- i took it to a bike
shop when i first got it years ago because it sounded like an old
outboard at idle - mechanic laughed at me and asured me that twin
crank 2 strokes sound like that.

Has proven itself be a reliable bike in the 4 years i rode it to work.
Engine runs well through entire rev range...except that the
power-valve cable is broken (a replacement comes with the bike) which
decreases power after 7k.
Needs to be ridden in powerband or it becomes a little smokey (typical
2-Stroke).
Clutch and gearbox fine.

- needs a key cut to suit ignition
- needs a speedo cable
- battery is old and dry but doesnt prevent starting (kick start)
- front forks are sagged (which affect handling)
- tank has a dent in top (and lid fits without key)
- fairings look ok but most pieces have been cracked/broken where they
mount
- screen sundamaged and with one crack
- one mirror is missing but im sure i can find it
- not many kms on chain
- front brake just lost pressure at lever the other day when i went to
bleed it (probably needs a seal kit) - it was a little spongey but was
working well..rest of braking system (front and rear) works fine
Has never been dropped while riding as far as i can tell - only while
stationary.
Has been a very fun and reliable bike but now needs a little
attention.
Please email me if youd like to know any more about the bike.

I still can't work out how/why people buy bikes on Ebay ...
I mean, how can you tell if it's a shitter?

If it was in Melbourne, I'd pop around for a look :-)

If your keen on one, I'm going to sell mine.

The fairing on mine is 'there' but really ratty, however it is mechanically
sound (re-built gearbox a few years back, and hardly been ridden since,
hence it's time to sell it.)

It's currently drained of oil and water, and disassembled a little, waiting
on me to get the motivation to replace the water pump seal (I've got the
parts), so it is not currently going.

Still, if you really want one, we could talk.

Rob.

No thanks.

Anyway, I have done my share of not buying a motorcycle today already.

Rode out on the pink bike to Mt.White to meet Pete, and parked behind
another Yam RZ250/350.

Has a quiet squiz at it (as you do) and the bloke shouts out...do you
want to buy it.

I acknowledged some interest, right up to the time he explained that he
wanted $3,200 for it. :-|

regards,
CrazyCam

Yeah, feel free.....

I had been thinking about getting a couple of the Yammie "crossed tuning
forks" badges for the pink one, but maybe a couple of the radiation
hazard stckers would be just as good?

CrazyCam

Definitely the radiation ones, especially as the yellow and red would
clash so horrifically!
