Anyone else watch "Poor Kids" on Beeb1 this evening. High flats in Glasgow,
this day and age. The dampness and condition was quite shocking.

I wouldn't trust local govmint to empty the bins and sweep the streets.

And the wee girl was a really lovely, clever, bright thing who I would have
high hopes for until I saw her mother!

I can't believe there's still 'houses' like that just 25 miles up the road
from me - but I suppose you could find people in those conditions 25 miles
from just about anyone on here.

We were as poor as a lot of the families shown but that was 40 years ago &
nobody else had any money so we didn't know any better.
