The forks on my GN250 are looking a bit scabby. They had a nice pair up
and I got them for £30.

Only they're sodding American ones (there was a US sticker on one)
designed for a front drum brake, and all UK models had discs, and they
won't fit because there's a bloody great lug sticking out that engages
in the slot in the brake plate.

Needless to say this wasn't mentioned in the auction description and the
big strap holding the two legs together cunningly passes over the lug.

I'm not mean enough to file a SNAD claim yet, but I've sent them a
gentle message asking what they propose to do now.

Bunch of cunts, they are. Hear untold numbers of horror stories from
people who'd bought one bike from them and would never return.

The stanchions are really what I want, and I s'pose I could just hoick
them out, so it's not critical. And they were very cheap. Just ****ed
off at what's a pretty obvious fast one.

The upside is that you can now 'shave' the forks and get a feature
in Easyrider.....

That'd machine off pretty easily, I imagine.

<Thinks>

Yes, it would. Or even hacksaw off. But what's that compared to the
chance of ****ing up their PayPal account by filing a SNAD?

If a hold of £30 in their paypal account ****s it up then I expect they
have bigger problems to worry about.
