My feelings as well. I can't help but hope that the AMA under DMG
folds after this season so it can come back again in a (hopefully)
more successful form.

So what happened? Was motorcycle racing simply incompetnetly managed
in the USA? Or has the fan base dried up? It is bizarre. At the very
least in California I rhink we should have a far more vibrant local
racing scene... and there isn't one.

Willow Spring Motorcycle Club?
AFM?

Both of those are pretty vibrant, but you're right there could be more.
Oregon Motorcycle Road Racing Assoc does some tracks in CA, like Thunderhill
and Buttonwillow, if I recall correctly.

Best comment I heard at a "we didn't go to Daytona" party
day after the 200 was:

"That was an excellent club race"

Go fast. Take chances.
