Only Max caught one tonight in some woods, and I swear they
were more play-fighting than anything.

It went on for a good 5 minutes until I could finally get
max to come away. I got within 20' or so of them - the
badger was very small - a pup? and neither of them had any
evidence of blood.

So would a badger pup play with a dog?

Badgers are incredibly vicious - I would bet that the dog may have been
playing but if the badger had managed to get the opportunity it would
have gone for the throat.

We occasionally get them here and they're a major problem.

Dunno about the pups, but after a couple of hours in a sack the adults
sometimes play with dogs for a few minutes.
