BY the side of the road means you have to carry fairly solid tyre
levers and appropriate patches. Some say you can't use glue ones on
motorcycle tyres, they get too hot, you have to vulcanise them.
Me, on the tubed bikes I either sacrifice the tube and use the foam
goo to get me home, or I remove the wheel and hitch hike.
Used both methods, both work. The goo stuff is not all that good at
keeping the tyre inflated so not great for major highway work, the
hitch hike method is chancy. But one or the other is more to my
ability than hoiking a tyre off Borrani rims and getting it back on
again.
