A few weeks back I said something along these lines:
".. and this season isn't over yet. rossi has not been infallible,
stoner
seems to be coming back from his sickness according to the rumor mill
and may tilt the point balance. and perhaps pedrosa and honda will
finish harder. the season is not over at all. .."

Estoril seems to bear that out. With Pedrosa and Stoner re-surging
towards the end of the season (it is quite liberating to ride without
title expectation pressure), the point distribution equation is quite
different. The championship will probably be decided by a mistake -
either Lorenzo or Rossi may toss it once under pressure, and Lorenzo
has a venerable tradition of riding too hot after starting to again
believe he can not do wrong...

A strong result for Elias after a poor Q that looked very unpromising.
Ahead of Dovi on the works machine. Kinda disproves the theory Spanish
or Italian riders only have to finish in the top 12 to automatically
get a ride. :-)

In 250, with Bautista's engine seizure taking him out, Simoncelli was
untouchable.

Good 125cc race with Espargaro beating Smith and Cortese, Simon had
tossed it earlier, ad had Iannone (poetic justice). An unusual 125
podium with only 1 Euromed. :-)

A VERY un Rossi like performance, he is up the front so much your
stunned when he is night fighting for the victory.

HE WILL BE BACK!

Still, the WORST thing and God he looks like a full on ****ING IDIOT
has to be nicky hayden, WHAT A WANKER, why did the give the bike to
him again in 2010, he is being beaten by the non factory Ducati and
the retards up the back......
TOTAL waste of a Championship/Victory grade bike, look at Stoner away
for 3 races and near wins the race.

hayden should NOT even be there, and Ducati needs its head read!

What non factory Duc beat him again?
Kallio? For 1/2 a lap I guess.
Nicky has been the 2nd best Duc for a couple of months now, get used to it.

It's not a championship grade bike this year or last. A championship grade
bike is the Yamaha, which everyone notes as the best bike in the paddock.

Clearly Lorenzo had got inside his head.

Rossi was complaining about setup issues and lack of rear grip. But
Lorenzo showed no signs of that. Maybe its time for the wall to come
down in the garage?

I'm just wondering what the scenes will be like if Lorenzo wins the
championship in Valencia. Full on war zone?

On another note, Rossi better be careful with his comments on boring
F1 races (F1 has a bigger audience but half of them are asleep).
Estoril was quite a snooze fest.

I think the way Stoner was pushing 100% was great to watch.

On the other foot the way hayden went backwards, well thats
normal.....

I think every race I've ever watched at Estoril, be it cars or bikes has
been a total snoozefest.

How about Elias nipping Rossi last few yards in, umm, 2006?
Year I attended was pretty good too with Gibby tossing away
the lead when it started to drizzle - 2001.

Go fast. Take chances.

Stoner could have actually had a go at Lorenzo just on lap2 he snapped
off his foot-rest and could not brake properly, maybe thats why the
bike was bucking and twisting all over the place.

So whats haydens excuse then?
