It looks like the 100 BHP limit may be repealed earlier than thought. It
could be as early as July this year.

Bad news is that the government is looking at forcing two/three wheel
riders to wear HiVi's, FFS.

It seems to be happening in the UK by stealth.

They're becoming increasingly common. Every other rider I saw today, if
not more, seemed to be wearing one.

Very odd.

Why , might I ask?
I wear one for my winter commuting and they are damned
effective at picking you out from a sea of tail lights on those
murky evenings. I still haven't taken mine off for the summer.

By people wearing them without being told to.

Loads more doing it now than when we left last year.

This was in broad daylight on a May afternoon.

I use them in this sunny and shiny weather of us. Useful, ride mates say
they can see me in the distance (they also state that as a fat bastard I
expose more surface, the cunts).

The only good thing (if that can be said) is that they've not yet
decided exactly on the type of HiVi required (I should have been a
little clearer). It could be a bib, a band or even reflective strips.
It's all a little bit blurred atm.

So not hi-vis at all?

It'll be amusing if they try and apply the law to furriners. Like with
the hi-vis jackets you have to carry in cars.
