I commissioned a set of Scott leathers from GLF which were delivered in
September 2009. Unfortunately I couldn't ride. They have never been used
and you'd need to break them in.

I asked Graham for the best of everything in terms of features, I think it's
Knox CE armour all round. Kevlar stretch panels. The only thing that isn't
specified is a kevlar lining, which seemed unnecessary for this quality of
leather and construction. Graham knows his stuff and assured me these are as
good leathers as can be bought and compete with BKS for slightly less dosh.
So, the details.

Scott can slightly alter some of the dimensions.

Style - Venom (customised)
http://www.scottleathers.co.uk/prodp...p?ProductID=10

Colour - Anthracite
Height - 5'9". I'd say ok for 170 to 180cm
Chest - 44". Be ok for 42-46"
Waist - 34". I had them made loose to get a short fleece tucked in so
32-36"
Leg - 32". Cut to fit inside a race boot kinda length
Calf - wide fitting
Thigh - regular fitting
Arm - regular. Cut to fit easily inside race gloves

Location - Leeds
Condition - new, unused

Price - see the GLF receipts - cost me £555. Off the peg £438 today.
Sell for £299 collected

What are you round the waist and chest?

As you are kinda the same as me, longer body and shorter legs than regular
for a given height, they might well.

I suppose I should stop filling in this 'ere eBay sale?

> How nearly black is anthracite?

It's exactly as it looks in the pictures. You might call it gunmetal. Black
with some added silver. Not black as in a personification of evil. The
kevlar panels are the latter so in the contrast you can tell precisely.

*Seriously* feckin nice is what they are. 3 months wait. Bought with Bee in
tow for trans continental all year round hooning. Not long before the
pancreas and spine decided to ground me. And spoil the Bee thing \

> Nice carpet, BTW.

New *proper* carpet is that. Woven by pre pubescent Indian maidens and
colour fasted with their virgin wee. Smells like it too.

It was. That's the red one which Chris bought. I'd just moved in, not yet
purchased the chain saw and attacked the tree/hedge.
As stairs can be a significant challenge on days the scarab beetles are
digging deep into my spinal column I no longer live there.

Then you should bung me an email or FB comms and I'll hold back for a day.

I'm sure there was a good reason. Something like "this is as close to black
as Scott can provide in the style within a quarter century".
I have a plain black leather 2 piece and probably prefer the Scott.

I'd say he was exaggerating, but in terms of VFM I doubt they could be
beaten. I was extremely happy with mine, even at the full price.

I've looked at BKS stuff. The leather might be a little thicker but you are
not likely to abrade through the Scott stuff and the build quality is about
the same. OTOH Scott are flexible and wearable and the BKS stuff is
'orrible, like wearing tin armour,
