Gear Change Difficulty

I ride a Y-reg Honda CB Two-Fifty (not the Superdream) and I am having
a great deal of difficulty changing gears once the engine has got hot.
When I start off from cold, there is no problem till I have gone a
couple of miles.

Although I pull the clutch right in, I have to use quite a bit of
force on the lever to enter the gear and if I want to select neutral,
it's almost impossible. To get into neutral from first, I have to
pull in the clutch and push the bike forward with my feet on the
ground and then it slips in.

I have tried adjusting the clutch lever but to no avail.

I have even thought of having a hydraulic clutch mechanism fitted if
this is possible although if possible, I suspect it will be extremely
expensive.

Any offers of help or advice please?

1. Have you adjusted the clutch? (At the clutch, not just at the
handlebar)
2. Don't post your phone number on usenet

Why? I asked for advice about a motorbike problem not whether or not
I should post my phone number on usenet.

Calm down, calm down. The most important bit, the bit about the clutch
adjustment, seems to have been totally ignored so he's obviously not
that bothered about sorting out the actual problem.

Where's my chaps?

It certainly does.
