I went for a ride around Chum Creek - Yarra Glen on Thursday.
I like to go bush and find dirt roads, tracks.
I understand that riding alone is not the smartest way to get about in the
sticks expecially when the temp was 30+.
Usually I blurt about at a relativly slow pace and see where I end up.

Last Thursday I nearly left the bike behind!

The track I was following turned into a downhill stream then back into a
track.
There was other tread marks so I know someone else had ridden there but I
think it was on something a lot smaller than a DR650.
On the way in I got stuck on two logs and had to push my bike over.
The way out was a lot harder work with at least six logs needing a bike
push and dropping the bike once while doing so up hill.

I would say that it was one of the best/worse tracks I have been on. I
enjoyed it very much and will never do that one again.

Have I mentioned that I love the DR650?!?

I am going to buy a PLB next week and I am glad I had the extra water with
me.

Tracks going in are fine. Tracks coming back out again are better!

It's rather lonely with a broken bike and broken bones on a deserted
bush track, hoping someone will happen by...
Don't ask me how I know.
