OK, I suppose, if you addressed the balance issue. It's basically what
was done to create the Buell Blast engine. Take one of the jugs off a
61 inch Sportster engine and voila, you have a 500cc thumper.

run as a thumper if I removed the rear piston and con rod, replacing
the cylinder with a metal plate.

It wouldn't run as well as the *Suzuki* thumper you already have.

So why don't you get your motor runnin', get out on the highway,
lookin' fer adventure, or whatever comes your way, instead of hanging
out in the trailer
wondering about things real bikers never think about?

acutally you would be incorrect. Then again Krusty you aren't ever
right...unlike a broken clock.

Yeah, well, a broken clock runs just as well as *your* Savage.

It's been done. Works quiet well...though most are built as choppers.
