The real problem is that they do not assure me they'll give me the visa and
I don't want to loose all this money.
Now we're searching for any kind of temporary visa wich allow me to work.
Once there I will apply for the permanent visa.

Any Idea?

Thank you for everything...

Perhaps due to the almost total collapse of the local consulting
market ...

These seem to work out well, although there's a bunch of
restrictions on what you can do, I believe.

Yes you have to change employers every 3 months - backpackers can't legally
obtain permanent jobs

And btw the immigration dept has been doing a lot of crackdowns in the last 18
months so if you want to live in Sydney or Melbourne and work in IT you ARE
likely to be audited - my employer was audited not long ago.

I'm not worried about being audited.
The problem is that I'm going to pay for nothing. If I pay for the visa and
then they do not accept my application (even if everithing it's ok)

Well, I'm moving this discussion to misc.immigration.austalia+nz because
here it's a little OT.

Thanks a lot for the info.
