I haven't been paying much attention to the discussions on this topic as I
wasn't planning to go. As luck would have it, a friend of mine is giving me
a pair of tickets that he can't use. He also apparently has a special pass
for parking in a reserved Ducati area as well as a pass into the Ducati tent
as he is a Ducati owner and went through his dealer for tickets.
A few quick questions:
1) What time to the races start on Sunday? This piece of information is
apparently too obvious to be posted prominently on the Laguna Seca or
MotoGP web pages (or else I'm not seeing it as I generally block flash
crud).
2) Does anyone know if Ducati will honor a special parking pass if one
arrives on a non-Ducati bike? My friend is going to give me his spare key,
which apparently allows access to the tent, as well as the parking pass
but he isn't sure if that will be good enough to get into the special
parking area. I suppose I could lie, claim to be my friend, and say that
the Duacti is in the shop so I took my Honda but I'm not sure how dishonest
I want to be or whether such a story would even work.
3) Assuming that the Ducati parking isn't an option for me, how early should
I expect to arrive to get parking for a bike? The Laguna Seca web page also
says that the main entrance on highway 68 is "restricted"; restricted to
whom? Race support staff only? Motorcycles only? Or...?
Any and all info would be appreciated!
Thanks,
