Very long shot, I know - but I don't suppose anyone has a VFR750FR-FV
fitting kit for a Givi Wingrack?

Just won a cheapie Wingrack on eBay, but fitting kits aren't so easy to
find.

Oh dear. They have stopped making the fitting kit, just have the monorack
arms listed.

I found the Wingrack made your model of VFR handle like a pig anyway. When
I removed the kit to ride the bike over to Bristol to collect the
replacement it was a revelation to get a sweet handling bike back. Shame
I'd committed to the deal, really!

Yes, I know - useless Wop cunts.

It's still a very popular sports-tourer, so I don't know why they
thought it would be a good idea to discontinue the fitting kit.

I'll be riding it mostly 2-up, so it's a none-issue.

Maybe because the word got around that a Wingrack & panniers didn't really
suit the bike and they never sold many after the 1st batch of early adopers
like me. Topbox & soft panniers being the compromise, which is what I've
used on the last 2 bikes.

Going to try jacking up the preload first - now I've worked out where it
is.

Stupid C spanner arrangement isn't it? Daft on a bike that is likely to
switch from solo to 2-up frequently.

It will be ****ed anyway. They only last 25-30k usually.

Nah, it's a hex headed adjuster accessed through a hole in the frame -
luckily the official tool is still with the bike.

We don't know how many miles this shock has done!

I'll probably whip it off over the winter and send it away for a refurb.
Need to do the BMW one at the same time.
