Hi All!

I'm a fairly experienced rider with a recent injury. Getting rid of
the Radian and looking for something SIGNIFICANTLY lighter. It must
have a standard position. The nighthawk 250 is the only thing readily
available.

Lately, I've seen several dual sports that look great, but always seem
too tall. I'm looking for a 30" seat height. Any suggestions? I
believe the nighthawk is right over 300lbs and I think I could get
alot lighter with a dual sport. I'm 5'5 and it's just in-city commute,
so power is not an issue. And no way can I get on a scooter. OK, maybe
if I were in a cartoon.

Looking to pick up something used.

Thanks!
Ellen

Often a motorcycle can be lowered by replacing
the rear shock with a shorter one and sliding the
fork legs up in the triple clamp to preserve the same
steering geometry.

Unfortunately, if the bike has a centerstand, it will
now be difficult to use without modification, but
aside from this one problem the change is pretty
easy and works well.

I know a couple of very short people who ride XT225's.

And BMW F650's can be lowered a lot, very easily.
Kouba links for the rear; bar set backs and sliding the forks in the
triple clamps for the front.
