And all we hear from city people are patronising comments about how they
deserve better services and support simply because they live in the city
and we don't :-P

Well, it might be for those who don't necessarily own the number plates which
may be attached to their vehicles at the time...

Maybe they're embarrassed at what it costs per sector and don't wish to make it
overtly public.

Whatever, I got a bill the other day. $8.40 for a one way trip. Mostly "fees,
charges, levies, taxes, rules and conditions" that apply.

A two way trip purchased online before you set out is about $10. Dunno what it
costs if you have an E-tag in the car, nor what they charge bikes. Thing is,
who'd wanna ride on it, anyway. It's not as if it's fun or anything, unless
you're on a cruiser of some description...

$8.40 is a trip one way along a section of the citylink
10 bucks is the cost of a day pass and you can use the link as much as
you like within a 24 hour period but you are not entitled to many day
passes if you are a regular user.
Eastlink cap their one way total trips to a lot less.
No idea about day passes though but if you ride a bike you need a day
pass or an account with eastlink but not citylink.
Just to compound things further if you have a bike registered with
eastlink you will not be charged when using the citylink but if you have
a car account with citylink and an etag then it can be used on eastlink.
Forgetting your etag is a lot cheaper on eastlink as well only 50 cents
from recollection admin fee.
