Left to their own devices, I'd expect that they would be equally safe. Add
a dickhead to a car, and the motorcyclist is at risk.

And yet you'll choose to ride a bike which is more risky than driving a
car...

Hardly consistent...

On 23/9/03 7:57 AM, in article (E-Mail Removed),
"Zebee Johnstone" <(E-Mail Removed)> decided to come out from under the bed
and slurred:

....head injury wards?

You did get a big bump on the head!

Well seeing as it isn't so, then no.. I wouldnt say it.

But, in case you're not sure, I'm not talking about comparing safety
between the two and have made no such statement. Just that the
majority of car accident deaths are caused by brain injuries. Wearing
helmets would lessen the amount of deaths per year by a considerable
amount. How much is one life worth, 10, 20, 30? who knows!

But 'safe' is undefinable. IF you made your loved ones wear helmets
they would stand less chance of dying. Isn't that worth it? How
valuable are their lives to you? Don't you love them enough to insist
they minimise the risks?

But we don't. And we dont for any mathematically definable reason
other than what seems 'normal'.

"They" are yet to design a way to prevent the brain from smashing against the inside of one's skull.

Some mob is selling styro helmets for babies who just are learning to
walk. Then when they get to the stage when they are just too tall to
walk under the table. That generation will wear helmets in cars
because they will have worn one all their lives.

I feel sorry for apprentice hairdressers.

Easy. Remove skull bones and replace with styrofoam shell.

Can I patent that idea?

Nah. Walking into a table actually teaches you something.

Occasionally I see riders that have opted to have their brain removed
instead.
