Had to go to the Dentist today to get some damage from sports injuries
35 years ago sorted out. My own dentist owned up and said it was too
specialist for him to do so referred me to a friend who specialises in
this type of work. NHS doesn't fund what I wanted so it was the new
Fender Stratocaster fund that was raided.

Rocked up this morning to find that the mouth mechanic from the neck
upwards looked like a young Felicity Kendal and from the neck down she
looked like a young Sophia Loren!

In her words there was some drilling and angle grinding to do so she
asked me to pick six tunes off her I Tunes library to hide the noise
of the drill and take my mind off events.

So FOAK what six tunes would you select to hide the sound of the
drill?

I chose

Start me up - Rolling Stones
Our Friends Electric - Gary Numan
Love will tear us apart - Joy Division
Get your rocks off - Primal Scream
Close to the Edit - Art of Noise
The Witch by The Rattles

Madam Mouth Mechanics comment was good call except for the Stones!

Well, anything by Spooky Tooth, of course.
A Curious Excavation - Darkroom
Root Canal of the Heart - Camille West
The Drill - The Drill
And then there's:
Cavity Search - Weird Al

But the absolute #1 best song to hear in a dental chair is:
Dentist song - Little Shop of Horrors

Autechre's "Gantz Graff" played on repeat would certainly hide the
sound of a drill.

Or just play all of Venetian Snare's "Huge Chrome Cylinder Box
Unfolding". That'd work.

Or, for you UST types, say, Lou Reed's "Metal Machine Music".

I'd rather listen to that than PIL's Metal Box.

Funny that, my dentist had time off last year and his replacement was a
drop dead gorgeous English girl, around the 30 mark and who insisted on
leaning in and her tits were around my right ear, i remember at the
time thinking all about this rather than what she was doing. Perhaps
this was to take my mind off the bill but they were very firm.

More than pleasant.

I used to have an optician with a penchant for very low cut tops:

"Look left... look right... look down... look up... LOOK UP!. <snap,
snap> LOOK UP!.."

A mix of AC/DC and Airbourne would do the trick
