Thanks for the fault diagnosis and advice on rebuilding my carbs on
the Kawie 550.

I took your advice, bought four carb kits, and CAREFULLY rebuilt them
and this time I replace the inlet needles and seats.

It seems to run great!! At this time the roads are covered with ice
and snow so it may be several months before I can take it out and give
it a proper flogging to ensure that all is well.

I do believe that a test ride will prove that there is new life in an
ancient bike, due to the wisdom of Toggy.

Thank you so much for setting me straight when I had gone astray.

That's only if you don't want to argue that it's an electrical
problem, or some off-the-wall bodge done by a previous moron.
