The name of the deceased indicates that he was a groid.

Elijah be a mo'fo'. Byrd was a prominent VA name, Admiral Byrd, etc.
Groids grabbed onto that name.

I assume they mean seed on the roads, right?

I've gotta assume that if the density is high enough, it will intefere
with braking and so on.

Sorry, I just now got the joke. "Speed" was a factor. Simple typo.

I just took it at face value, assumed he lived in an rural area, etc.

I am not doing well for putting two and two together these past few
days.

Apparently, this sort of person is a "groid":

So at least now we know what Walt means when he uses that term.

Condolences to Rev. Byrd's family.

And our heartfelt wishes that the lone remaining brain cell inside
Walt's skull isn't getting too lonely...

Let's think about this just a little. What word, beginning with "s,"
might reasonably be expected to appear in an accident report in the
context of a phrase like "s______ was a factor," and which might through
a simple, easy-to-make typo appear in related stories as the word "seed"?

OK, so if flax seed oil comes from flax seeds, and olive oil comes from
olives, and peanut oil comes from peanuts - what the hell is this "baby
oil" I keep seeing in the stores?
