OK....i have an SP1 and just had a go on one of them
new blade's and was impresed. Used to have blades
all the time before the SP now i am tempted again,
thing is they dont half want some extra cash for one.

My SP1 which has done 10k, and £3.8 for a new one,
i know there is a demand but ****s sake it aint worth that
much, hell i cant ride the arse off what i have let alone
a new blade even with a lighter pocket.

I wonder if anyone is doing a reasonable deal on them yet?

Any idea's peeps?

Alan

Newly launched bike and it's Spring - I think not. Wrong time of the
year for bargains on 04 models - especially power ranger wheels.

What's so odd about that? My GSXR1000 is only 2 years old and has 6k
miles on it, yet if I wanted to trade if for a new GSXR1000 the cost
to change would be somewhere around the 4 grand mark.

Nobody really wants SP1s, or the VTR1000, come to that.

Their residual values are low. I think it's a fair trade-in offer.

It just boggles my imagination why anyone would want to buy a brand new
bike. The depreciation hit is just too much[1]

[1] Obviously if I won the lottery, my feelings might be different.

You mean you want a dealer that will discount further on the basis that you
can't ride very well? Let me know when you find one.

So buy a 2003 model. OK, it won't be the latest model, but if you can
really appreciate and use the difference between a 2003 and 2004 model
Blade, you're a better rider than I am.

WTF are you going on about?

I've just said I'd not buy a brand new model; I wouldn't buy a 2003
model either, not until at least 2006. I did say the depreciation hit
would be too much.

I think you'll be disappointed with a Firestorm.
