Folks,
I haven't seen this here....doesn't prove anything 'cos my newsgroup
service is rat-****...so here it is:-
The MCC are running a Motorcycle Noise Testing Day
Purpose:
With all the kafuffle over exhaust noise brewing and the $200 fines being
freely handed out to a rather unsure public by the police and EPA, "isn't it
about time to know if your bike is legal?" Even though your bike passes it's
rego check each year it may not pass an Police/EPA test for exhaust
labelling and noise. come along and see where you stand... Talk to some
experts and help support the MCC who are in amongst the politicians fighting
for your rights and freedom!
Additionally:
The MCC believe that it is important to get a feel for the typical sound
levels of motorcycles. Motorcycle owners who have their bikes tested will be
able to find out a very good approximation of their bikes exhaust noise
level and hence it's legality. Testing will not be done to the full extent
of ADR-39/00 however the data gathered should be very close to that which
would be gathered in the formal ADR test. The data gathered by the MCC will
be used at the highest levels of government in order to fight for that which
is right and fair... "your right to ride without fear of persecution and to
make motorcycling safer"
Location:
Old service station (now NRMA outpost) 50M South of Mount White Village
Store, Pacific Hwy, Mt White. The plan is for everyone to marshal at the
Cafe and come over to be tested as requested.
Date/Time:
Saturday Sept 20th, 10am at the Berowra Mobil for a 10:30 departure.
