Hi folks,

I've recently put up a site specifically for people in Washington State
who are looking to sell or trade their bike. Right now, you can get 3
months of free advertising.

http://nwmototrade.homelinux.com

Just sign up and post away. Hopefully if the word gets out and this
site gets hot enough, we can have a cheap and localized way of
selling/trading without having to spend a ton on newspaper ads or
losing a bunch on trade-ins.

- Features -

Ad Manager: Post as many ads as you like. Update them or delete them
any time you like. Large comments section.

Account Manager: Update your member information any time. You choose
how you would like to be contacted (email or phone or both).

Image: You can link to an image in your ad. (sorry, no uploading
images at this time. working on that.)

Search Engine: Comprehensive search engine allows the buyer to find
exactly what they're looking for by category, make, model, price, etc.

Dedicated: Bikes only. No quads. No jet skis. No sno-mobiles. No
offense, but this is a service for bikers only.

Thanks,
-Mike

I like Soundrider a lot. They have 21 bikes listed in the classifieds
at this particular moment, running the gamut from dirt to cruiser to
sporty. Seems kind of hit-or-miss, though I bet the exposure's good.

Dunno: I sell sportbikes via word-of-mouth, usually. Sold one via
A.M.S. couple years ago and another to a friend of a friend at the
Friday "company lunch ride" a month or two ago. It's always been like
that for me.

Sometimes trade-ins are a decent deal, as well. Most motorcyclists
move on to other bikes; sometimes dealers are both the path of least
resistance and best resource for fair market value on another (new or
used) bike. Most bikers have decent relationships with at least one
local dealer. Buying, selling, and/or trading a bike usually cements
good business relationships, which will pay dividends down the road.

Point being, I'm a sportbike-head. All my friends are
sportbike-heads. Put the word out, follow up/follow thru, something
usually happens. Were I a cruiser or dirt guy, same thing: when
seeking ducks, go to the pond.

I agree. I have at least one dealer that I like to deal with right now.
I'm hoping to have another soon. I've been looking at another Kawi
(Z1000). The folks at Monroe Kawi out here seem to be a great bunch of
folks. Then there's another one down the road where I bought my
girlfriend's dirt bike. I hope to attract dealers as well as private
party sales to the service. If all goes well, I'd like to start this
service for all of the U.S.
