I've been to several fires started by crashing cars. One last month
burnt out about 20 hectares and required 6 appliances. When I saw the
car it had no wheels and I thought "What the..". Alloy wheels melt
away completely, leaving just the wheelnuts on the discs.

Been to a few of them myself
One I clearly remember was at 2.15 in the morning, a Valiant ute had centred
a tree and burst into flames, I was hosing down the car and the area close
by, when someone asked as to the whereabouts of the driver because the
ambleyance had not turned up because of the distance they had to travel.
I looked to where I was hosing inside the ute cabin and noticed that I was
hosing down a skeleton,
No need to look any further for the driver
