eBay item 4639524068RD350B

<groan>
I'm not going to bid though I want it badly. Looks as if it deserves to
make serious money.

I can't see it making 4k. I think a perfect RD400 is still a better
bet, both as a rider and a collector. £2750?

That front mudguard is a pattern part though, innit? Shouldn't it have
mudguard stays on?
And I think the top outer fins of the head should be a silver colour.

Wossat on the rear light?

I assume it's a muzzle.

Is it supposed to be original? I don't know a lot about old Yam twins, but
I suspect they didn't come out of the factory dripping with Allen bolts.
The dome nuts on the front caliper seem somehow wrong, as does the braided
steel brake line and the R-clip on the rear axle.

I have a very vague idea that it's just reed valves, but ICBW...

Was it not the tube that went to an empty plastic bottle - for want of a
better description - between the carbs and reeds?

The front disc looks like it's done more than the suggested 235 miles as
well.
