Help, SWMBO managed to knock the handle off of my FOAD stainless steel
cafetiere last week.
It appears to have been held on with a couple of spot welds, is it a
feasible bodge to re-spot weld it back on?

If so, is anyone able to do it.

My spare pot only does a single mugfull, so it is a very serious situation.

TIA

Only if you can find someone with a TIG welder.

IIWY, I'd be off to a friendly local engineering/welding workshop with
a large packet of chocolate biscuits in hand. Bribery works wonders
in these situations.

Your pot is full, where's the problem?

Thanks Pip, we have quite a few small engineering works in Bicester, in fact
I have used a chap who works out of a cowshed in a local village to
fabricate stainless steel aircon drip trays for me in the past, I'll give
him a go.

My FOAD pot holds about half a gallon, which just about gets my RDA of
caffeine up to it's required level to enable normal [1] functioning.

[1] Whatever "normal" means

Oldbloke was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:

That'll be the amount required to be able to go out and face then
world then?
