As the FOAK on the 400/4 can you help please.
The Black 400/4 shows signs of originally being Parakeet Yellow, I
can get the correct paint from bikepaints.co.uk but the decals are
confusing me. Who would be the best source for decals and is there
a definitive set of pictures etc online.
ISTR that some models had sloping decals on the side panels and
later ones had none ?. Also which way should they slope ?
Are there any measurements for correct positioning ?

FWIW the frame number is CB400F-1081467

Sunrise Graphics is what you want.

Basically, the solid red and blue bikes had upright side panel graphics
and the yellow and maroon ones had slanting ones. They should both slant
to the right. I think the US model with black side panels reverted to
vertical decals.

As for measurements for positioning - Google is your friend.
