got the rego in the mail today for the VFR - $458.35 for 12 months.

My question is: It is listed as having 2 seats on the notice, but as I
never pillion can I change it to a single seater to make it cheaper? The
bike already has a removable seat cover over the second seat anyway, and I
have removed the rear footpegs a while back. I have heard this will
drastically reduce the rego premium.

Thanks,
Proc

you need to have it inspected and plated as a solo , a small fee and
then the rego will be reduced.

You have to get it inspected and certified as a solo, and a plate
attached.

I don't think removing the pegs and having a seat cowl is enough. You
have to make the change permanent. something like welding up the pegbolt
holes and reupoholstering the seat.

The two bikes I've seen that have had solo rego have had that done.
