Well, congratulations!

I do hope you've gained a son-in-law rather than a daughter-in-law - 'cause
if it's the latter, I _know_ you'll make her life a misery ("no woman will
ever be good enough for my son" is a phrase embedded in women's brains).

Don't forget either way that "mother-in-law" is an anagram of "woman
Hitler," so be sure to live up to the title! :-P

Heh heh, I like it! (although my own mother-in-law - well, mother-OUT-law really) has always been fabulous. No Hitler role-model for me... So far it's all smooth sailing, and it's been a whole 4 days! :-) Mrs Boomerang Boy & I get on very well.

I'm in no hurry to be Grandma Betty, though...

The urge to breed may be hard-wired into our DNA.

In fact I often say that non-platonic love is just a manifestation of
the mating instinct encoded into our DNA. That's usually when SWMBO
gets really really ****ed off with me. (I really shouldn't be with
anyone who would have me as a partner... ;-)

Hang on, I'm just counting on my fingers. Mid-twenties x two, plus a
few..... ummm, that makes more than ...... ummm......

We had our three quite early and were done when I was 27. They had all
left home when we were in our mid-forties. They all started later than
we did and we now have seven grandchildren. One has completed high
school this year and one has just turned one.

My wife has a magnet on the fridge which says "If I'd know
grandchildren were so much fun, I'd have had them first."

Enjoy the grandchild Betty.

Theo
