For long distance I've been known to wear rowing shorts. Not bike
shorts because I find the pad uncomfortable.

HEre's an alternative - http://www.ldcomfort.com/ - specifically
made for motorcycle riding.

About the same price as good quality bike shorts, a bit more expensive
than rowing shorts.

Hi Zebee.

I haven't tried rowing shorts, since I had never heard of them.

I do use the bike nix, and like them.

These yankee things, any guesses what they are made of?

The bike nix, because of being lycra, are nice and slippery inside leathers.

regards,
CrazyCam

THey are similar to bike shorts although not usually as much lycra so
not as slippery. They also tend to be shorter in the leg.

No idea... you'd have to ask them. I just saw them recommended by a
recumbent rider as an alternative to bike nix because they didn't have
the nappy pad.

I use bike knicks on long rides, and I have heard greater things about
the LDrider shorts but I won't be trying them until they offer some more
realistic shipping to Australia. I can get 4 tyres shipped to Australia
for less than $US100 and LDRider charge over $US30 to ship a 168gram
pair of jocks. *Boggle*

Hmmmm - I've used my bike knicks as well, and like the pad - a bit of
extra comfort, same as on the treadly!

I don't need it on my treadly! Not owning a wedgie...

(Well I do, but don't ride it far enough in any one trip to need the
padding)

The Noggie's seat doesn't even need a sheepskin, my other bikes don't
have narrow seats that require padding *there*.

(The Devil's seat is best Italian marble, but again the nappy pad's
not in the right place to help there.)
