I hope this indicates what his potential is when he gets past his
first training year or two. Keep the progression.

With Lorenzo in second spot, it ain't gonna be easy, but I am still
waiting for Lorenzo's invincibility gene to make him do something
stupid. Probably the Indianapolis circuit isn't the best place to do
that, though.

So this could end up with 2 US guys on the podium...

We'll see. On actual race pace, it looks like another Lorenzo-Pedrosa
one-two. But 3rd could be anybody.

Spies on the soft tyre looked like a repeat of last year. A perfect
blend of smoothness and aggression. But I don't think he's got enough
race pace to stay with Lorenzo-Pedrosa.

What's really puzzling is Rossi's and Stoner's loss of mojo.

Lots of crashes. Lots of people rushing to turn off the engine on
crashed bikes. That doesn't bode well for when the engine allocation is
used up in the last few races.

"WRONG!!!" He split the pair. Awesome. Colin is embarrassing himself
now. I've never heard him as down as he was in that interview.
He, to his credit, took full blame for everything. "It's my fault". No
shame in two WSBK titles, especially when Bayliss was your
competitor.
There's a lot of races left this year. It'd be great if he could win
just one. I bet he'd retire if he did.

What's really puzzling is Rossi's and Stoner's loss of mojo.
Vale's leg injury is really hurting him. Stoner and Nicky are sharing
front end problems with the fork.
Nicky losing his knee puck today may have slowed him down just enough
to not lose the front as Stoner did.
Nicky did lose a position to Spies in the overall points. OUCH!

I really want to see Toni Elias back in Moto GP or in a class with
some prestige. If both he and Melandri left for WSBK, that'd be a
heavy loss.
