I haven't heard anyone gripe about water that has been trapped in the various
spaces and places upwind of your face spraying out in a not so fine mist at
speed the day after riding through some rain or washing the bike. Some might
see it as a neat feature for those hot rides we seem to suffer through most
of the year in TX. With all the rain we've had over the last few weeks (10+
inches in one day) my reservoir seems to be running over a lot lately. It
wouldn't be so bad if it was just water but the way it smells as it splashes
the lower half of my face after sitting in the shrink wrap of my wiring
harness makes me think there's stuff in it that's not healthy. Anyway I think
I may have a look see if there's a place further down the harness I can make
a drainhole. Anyone else have this feature? Or is my bike unique? (02 FXDX)

You've just got a lot of minerals in your water. Add a water softener
to the bike. Or maybe a Brita.

I don't want to drink it. It's nasty.
