Speaking for ''we'' here in Texas; no argument here.

If you need a ride to the grocery store, or help doing your taxes,
checkbook, etc. just let us know.

By that line of reasoning (the governments) then all cars, suv's, mini-
vans should be banned. ALL autos and motorcycles rounded up and
recycled (being carful to not release lead into the atmosphere).

Well that is THE logical and enevitable conclusion they are headed
towards.

<rant>
Does that not include all motorized vehicles, including mass
transportation units? We'll be back to horse & buggy, minus the
horse, of course. Horses, like cows, fart methane (greenhouse gas).
While we're at it, that includes most of you guys... and gals. Oh,
and let's not forget the aliens from space, crashing their UFOs and
dumping lawd knows what, into our atmosphere. Where's Greenpeace,
PITA and the local tree huggers when you need them?
There's just so much "protection from ourselves" that I can stand.
</rant>

Ok, I feel better now. I had to make room after that big catfish
dinner I had tonight. ;^)

aren't you glad I chose to NOT mention the batteries in hybrid
vehicles? Or suggest one looks at which causes more pollutions paper
bags or plastic...remember for that thought experiment you have to
account for leaky vehicles, pulp plant discharges into the enviroment
etc, etc. You'll never guess whose worse.
p.s. did I ever mention that the UFO's train their new operators up
here? ;^) Student pilots are so fun.
