Heh! Well put. However, if you refer to the humourous footnote in my sig
in the earlier message, you'll see I'm suggesting lubricating both the
chain and the sprocket, not just the parts of the chain that require
lubrication.

If you have oil on the side of your rear tyre, then you should be happy in
the fact that your chain has enough oil.

My Scott Oiler never leaves oil on the tyre. Makes me wonder if my chain is
improperly lubricated.
