Have noticed Suzuki's new entry in the 250cc street bike class called
the TU250. Is this just a reworking and repackaging of their previous
GZ250?

Seems like a pretty good bike for urban travel.

More or less. The TU has been on sale for some years in Europe, though I
think it's discontinued in the UK now. The engines are identical.

The TU is more a reworking of the GN250 than the lower-slung GZ, mind.
Frame and engine are the same. The TU doesn't have a rev counter, which
the GN does, but otherwise it's really the same bike in a different set
of clothes.

My GN250 is perfect for this, which is why I commute on it most days.
Fast enough for town, very torquey soft engine, so you just stick it in
top at 30 and keep gear changing to a minimum, and very economical.

BMW K1100LT Ducati 750SS Honda CB400F Triumph Street Triple
Suzuki TS250ERx2 GN250. Only seven bikes now.
Try Googling before asking a damn silly question.

And he can park it right in front of the cottage where he plies his
trade so everybody knows that Neil is open for business...
