Hmmmm - interesting. 25 years later the roads are rather more congested
and now have far more roundabouts, lights and roadworks to slow things
down. Can a 250 mile tank range actually be acheived at the speeds
needed, i doubt it but ICBW.
Even Champ is slowing down in his dotage so maybe 13 hours and 12 points
from the scameras on the way so long as you dont get pulled by the
police which is far more likely nowadays......
FWIW it took me a total of 15 1/2 hours in the Master with one stop
for fuel, a ****, grab a pasty and a bottle of fanta.
OK, so a minibus is not a bike but the 650 mile tank range saved me
best part of an hour. But it was a bad day for roadworks and hitting
the M6/M5 junction fiasco at rush hour cost almost an hour.
Birmingham has a lot to answer for.
