It'll be too expensive, I reckon.

I can see it going for a North Leicester Motorcycles dealer type price.
Not totally original, but all the enhancements are really good ones.

I thought the UK was small enough in land area for anyone to ride
anywhere in an hour or so. And can't you ride a motorcycle from
John O'Groats to Land's End in a single day's daylight hours?

It should really have a TLS front brake and it'll run like a dog with that
2-into-1.

We would need to know the frame number, but a 76 Sport could be wire
wheel/disc brake. It'll certainly be easier to stop.

From the MRC model list:
350S
76-77
A3
8062-8447
8704-10859
Sport, Wire wheels, Disc front brake

A good 2-1 with equal pipe lengths can be made to work very well. Mine
does.

I suppose it depends if you want a collectors item to polish or a
machine to thrash the nuts off as Lambertini intended.

Not really, 874 miles with some truly crap roads at both ends and
congested motorways from Exeter to Glasgow. If you could manage to
average 60mph it would take nearly 15 hours with no allowance for
refuelling breaks etc. So in a car 15 hours might be just possible
on a good day, on a bike you might be able to cut off an hour
by riding with enthusiasm but 6 or 7 fuel stops at 10 minutes each
will cost you an hour anyway. Riding like a **** might get it down
below 14 hours but I have my doubts if it could be done in practice.

Not to mention grockles towing caravans, agricultural machinery,
the M6 and other delights.

Really?

Read http://www.champ.org.uk/bikes/endtoend.htm

Admittedly it was 1984 and there were fewer obstacles, but he was riding a
bike with a small tank.

It would be interesting to see if someone on an uber-tourer with a 250 mile
tank range could match/beat the time...

Hmmmm - interesting. 25 years later the roads are rather more congested
and now have far more roundabouts, lights and roadworks to slow things
down. Can a 250 mile tank range actually be acheived at the speeds
needed, i doubt it but ICBW.

Even Champ is slowing down in his dotage so maybe 13 hours and 12 points
from the scameras on the way so long as you dont get pulled by the
police which is far more likely nowadays......

FWIW it took me a total of 15 1/2 hours in the Master with one stop
for fuel, a ****, grab a pasty and a bottle of fanta.
OK, so a minibus is not a bike but the 650 mile tank range saved me
best part of an hour. But it was a bad day for roadworks and hitting
the M6/M5 junction fiasco at rush hour cost almost an hour.
Birmingham has a lot to answer for.
