Anybody know anything about the Dunlop Roadmaster tires? That's what
the ST currently has on it, but the back one is really friggin square,
after what I'm told is about 7000 miles. Tire would probably be good
for a few more thousand miles if any of those miles had been crooked.
Am I expecting too much from a sport-touring tire?

Not I.
Like some of us here, I ride heavy, inactive bikes.
Amosly is the sport touring experiment for this part of the country.

So how's the new bike? Comparisons pls.

Does it make a whirling sound? (or warble)

Rear tires are expensive. Put a new one and you'll be very pleased at the
difference.

When I bought the Valkyrie, the guy told me I would need a new rear tire
soon, and he was right. It was cupping and had flat spots on it. He was
using OEM specified tires (Dunlop) and was getting 6 to 8 thousand miles on
a rear tire. I changed it to an Avon and I got well over 20000 miles on it
and had more to go when I changed it.

These people are the best experts in our area regarding motorcycle tires.
And, usually the cheapest by a lot too that makes it worth the ride out
there for them to do it. They usually can change a tire for you before you
finish a burger for lunch. They know what they are doing.
Put an Avon on it.

So far the new bike is better than biscuits and gravy. The fuel
injection seems to be less smooth than the carburated Connie and is
taking some getting used to. The electronic adjustable windshield is
friggin spectacular. So far no hand numbness, probably due to upgraded
grips and a riser. Haven't had a chance to go anywhere other than
around town, so I'm not sure about long range comfort. Handles like it
doesn't weigh 650 pounds.

Makes the 4 cyclinder jet engine whine, til you get up in the higher
rpms, then it makes a deeper sound.

I did, got another roadmaster, and front and rear brake pads.

Morgan, you remain immensely popular in the Ft Worth area, specifically the
Stockyards, so I offer this on that.

With the Goldwing, the Elite III's are very, very slippery on the wet road.
I know, I know, pussies don't ride in the rain, but you might loan out your
bike. Hopefully the III's will perform satisfactorily on the H-D.

It is about time for you to take a few days to ride with some of your
acquaintances to your North.

Well good. Perhaps a Brenham meet up soon. As incentive, I'll bring
Penderich.

I want the distribution rights to the video when he does trailer it.
I figure I lost a bunch of money from America's Funniest Videos
as I wasn't around to catch the trailer ride of his last bike.
Hhmm - Or was it the last trailer ride of his previous bike???
