I tried the polite approach on several occasions, the most recent event
cemented my "avoid at all costs" attitude.
Picture youself walking down the shopping mall checking out things on a
Saturday afternoon when a guy with a handfull of fliers approaches.
BAC "Would you be interested in a free concert?"
Me "Sorry, not really my thing mate."
BAC "It's free, and we'd really like to see you there."
Me "Look mate, I'm really not interested, I suggest you ask someone else."
At that point I walk away, or try to. This guy is pretty persistant and
walks in front of me and stops.
BAC "But ..."
At that point I'm starting to get irritated and say to the guy.
Me "Look mate can you go and accost someone else."
I try again to walk away and the guy again stops in front of me, this time
literally nose to nose. I push him to one side and tell him to **** off
before I call the police.
Then he starts calling me an evil spirit and chanting at me in some sort of
toungues. Fortunately for him one of his BAC mates dragged him away at that
point.
I'll loudly defend your right to think and believe whatever you like but
that does not include the right to tell me how to think and what to believe.
