Trailer length for DR650 transport

I am wanting to get a tailer that I can also use to transport the DR650.
I am looking at a 6x4 though concerned this will not be long enough to
carry the DR650.
The DR650 has an "overall" length: 2 385 mm (93.9 in) (or my math is 7.8
feet)
<http://www.suzukicycles.org/DR-series/DR650.shtml>

Could I get away with a 6x4 trailer or would I need something longer?
If so, what length?

:-P

7x4 is a pretty standard trailer and then you are covered.

measure from the outside point of rear and front tyres to get your best idea...

The S10 wouldnt fit in my 7x5 with the tailgate on in a straight line, corner
to corner would btu thats not how my trailer is setup.

Depends on where you live Peter,
If you live in Victoria, you don't have to register a 6x4 trailer
I have put an FLH on a 6x4 trailer diagonally with the front down.

I wouldn't limit your choice to a rego-exempt sized trailer unless it
suits your purposes. Annual rego is less that the cost of a slab of
Aldi beer. (I use Aldi beer as the example just so you can't rationalise
that the beer is a better option than the registration). But seriously,
if you have a car and a bike, the trailer rego will only add about 3%
to your annual registration costs.

Nev..

It sounds bad when you put it like that Nev as I am paying for 4 stickers
at the moment.
I got a 6x4 and the DR650 just squeezes in and I can get one half of the
door shut.

Perfect!
